1. Getting started
What is Type Folio?
A space-themed typing game. Type falling words before they reach the danger line, complete missions, earn stars, and explore new planets.
Where can I download it?
The public iOS and Android releases are Coming Soon. Store links will appear on the homepage when they are available.
Can I play as a guest?
Yes. You can begin without an account. Guest progress stays on that device. Sign in to use account synchronization and participate in the leaderboard.
2. Gameplay & boosts
Which difficulty should I choose?
Easy is a gentler start. Medium increases the challenge, and Hard uses longer words and a faster pace. Choose the difficulty that feels comfortable, then work your way up.
What does Freeze do?
Freeze pauses falling words temporarily, giving you time to catch up. The app shows its coin cost before use.
How does First Miss Shield work?
Activate the shield before a miss. It protects you from the first missed word, so that miss does not cost a life. It is not a last-life rescue.
3. Custom spaces
Can I play with my own words?
Yes. In Explore, create a custom space, select a difficulty, and enter your words. Follow the word-length and count requirements shown in the app for that difficulty.
Does creating a space use coins?
Yes. Review the cost and your balance before confirming. The app also shows mission and boost costs where you use them.
4. Accounts & progress
How do I continue on another device?
Sign in to the same Type Folio account while connected to the internet. Account features include saved points, coin balance, mission stars, and custom spaces. A different sign-in account has separate progress.
Why does Apple sign-in use a different email or username?
Hide My Email can provide a private relay address. Apple may share a name only during the initial authorization. Your game username is a separate public identity and may be generated when an account is created.
Who can see the leaderboard?
Guests and signed-in players can view it. Players with no points are not listed. Your public player name and avatar appear with your score when you qualify.
5. Coins & purchases
Do I need to sign in to buy coins?
Yes. Sign in before purchasing so coins can be credited to the correct Type Folio account.
Will Restore Purchases give me spent coins again?
No. Coins are consumable, and a transaction is credited once. See Purchases & Refunds for missing purchases and restoration help.
Can I earn coins by watching ads?
The current Watch Ad feature is Coming Soon. Read Ad Privacy Choices for its status.
6. Privacy & support
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. If you cannot access the app, follow the email request instructions on the Account Deletion page.
How do I report a bug?
Contact support with your device, operating system, app version, what you expected, and what happened. Screenshots can help; remove private information first.
