Guest play stays on your device. Account play can sync.Signing in lets Type Folio save your progress online. Your public player identity and score can appear on the leaderboard; your email address is not a leaderboard field.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy covers the Type Folio app and website operated by the Type Folio developer. For privacy questions or requests, email support@typefolioapp.nazrin.codes.

The information processed depends on whether you play as a guest, sign in, make a purchase, or contact us.

2. Information on your device

The app stores game progress, scores, coin balance, custom spaces, preferences, and session information locally as needed to run the game. Guest records are not a cloud account backup. Device backups may also include app data, depending on your operating-system settings.

Removing the app or clearing its storage may delete local information. Signing out is different from deleting your account.

3. Accounts & cloud progress

When you create an account, Type Folio processes your account identifier, email address, authentication information, and chosen profile details. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information that provider makes available with your authorization. Apple may supply a private relay email address when you choose Hide My Email.

Account progress can include points, stars, completed missions, gameplay statistics, coin balance, purchase credits, achievements, and custom spaces with their words. We use this information to save your progress, synchronize supported account features, and operate the leaderboard.

Supabase provides authentication and database services for these features. Review Supabase’s Privacy Policy for its handling of information.

4. Public player information

The global leaderboard is viewable by guests and signed-in users. It may show your username or display name, selected avatar, points, and rank. Choose a player name you are comfortable making public. Your email and sign-in credentials are not displayed on the leaderboard.

5. Purchase records

Apple or Google processes payment through its store where purchases are supported. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Type Folio processes transaction identifiers, product identifiers, verification results, purchase environment, and credited coin amounts to validate purchases and prevent duplicate credit.

Verified purchase records can be retained after account deletion for transaction integrity and to prevent the same receipt being redeemed again. The deleted account’s user link is removed from those records; store transaction data may remain.

6. Website & support messages

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts, or a website login. Its page content, fonts, and illustrations are served as website files. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and browser information, to deliver and secure the site.

Contact links open your email application. Nothing is sent until you send the email. We receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send and use them to respond, investigate issues, and handle your request. Please leave out passwords, verification codes, and complete payment details.

7. Advertising

The current app’s rewarded-ad option is marked Coming Soon. It is not an active ad-viewing flow. This website does not serve ads. See Ad Privacy Choices for the current status and where future choices will be explained.

If advertising is enabled in a later release, the applicable data practices and consent choices will be described before or when that functionality becomes available.

8. Why information is processed

We use information to provide accounts and game features, keep progress consistent, verify purchases, protect the service from misuse, respond to support requests, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Information is processed by service providers needed for these functions, including our authentication and database provider, app stores, hosting provider, and email provider. We may disclose information where lawfully required or necessary to protect the service and its users. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to applicable safeguards.

9. Retention & deletion

Account information is kept to provide your account and its features until it is deleted or no longer needed. The in-app deletion process removes your authentication account and linked profile, account progress, and leaderboard records. Some transaction information is retained as explained above. Provider logs, backups, or records required for legal and security purposes may remain according to their retention requirements.

Support messages are retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain relevant support records. Ask us if you would like a message removed. Full instructions are on the Account Deletion page.

10. Your choices & requests

You can play as a guest, choose your public profile details, sign out, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, receive a copy of, restrict, object to processing of, or request deletion of your personal information.

Email us to exercise a right or raise a concern. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own account, using only the information needed for that check. You may also contact your local data-protection authority where applicable.

11. Younger players & policy updates

Parents and guardians should supervise account creation, purchases, and information shared by younger players. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We update this policy when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
